Comcast Spotlight had participated in College Sales Competitions for a number of years, but found that there was very low awareness of the company or sales opportunities.

To improve awareness and increase interest among students prior to the competitions and job fair, we developed a series of four emails. These were sent to the coach of each school’s team, since that was the contact available, but with content to be shared with students. It also allowed us to educate an “influencer” for current and future students. 

The campaign included:

  • An introductory message linking to more information about our Associate AE program.
  • An email promoting a blog post from a Local Sales Manager about the career opportunity in sales at Comcast Spotlight.
  • Message highlighting a video featuring recent AAE graduates sharing insights from their experience.
  • And a final email with a re-cap of content, linked to targeted micro-site, and an invitation and incentive to visit us at job fair. 

Open rates varied from 15% to 34%, with 52% of contacts opening at least one email and 17% opening at least three. Connections were made with coaches and students at the competition and extended after based on the initial
